We’re excited to announce the launch of a new website in the D_Band family. Our very own Chad “Tippsy” Tips is not only an amazing guitarist, he’s also a brilliant teacher! He has passion to help other people learn to play and enjoy the guitar. D_BAND
We started rummaging through a bunch of the footage that we shot during the process of recording our latest album “Light Up the World”. To all of us, one of the most special moments on the record is the instrumental section of “Angel Song”. It’s a song that’s really taken shape as we’ve played it live over the years. When we decided to put it on the studio record we wanted the song to be spontaneous just like it is when we play it live. That being said, when all went in to do our parts we really tried to just go for it and do as little editing as possible. The first thing we recorded was the drums. The Gonz happened to pull out the video camera while Hendy was tracking this section of the song. It was a cool moment so we thought we’d share it with you! D-Band DJ Luke Atencio was hired by Focus On The Family and Stephen Vidano Films to compose the music for two 30 second Super Bowl ads featuring Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow and his mother Pam.
Luke brought in D-Band members Chad “Tippsy” Tipps to play the ukulele and Bekah Wagner to add vocals.
