  1. Jared Anderson Lamp Music

    July 31, 2009 by dband

Most of you know Jared Anderson for his incredible worship songs like Rescue, Amazed, Beauty of the Lord, Promises….. Well there’s a whole different side to Jared that most people don’t know about… the music of this “altar ego anderson” is affectionately known as “Lamp Music”. It’s Really different than his other stuff and really great. Well he just recorded his third “lamp record”. It was recorded in down town Colorado Springs in an awesome coffee shop called “The Ravens Nest”. They set up every night after the coffee shop closed down and recorded till early in the morning. Our good friend Andy Catarisano decided to go and film the whole thing. Andy Cat with a camera + Jared Anderson with a piano=pure genius… hope you enjoy…

  2. Desperation Conferences

    July 24, 2009 by dband

    Hello!

We just finished up the second desperation conference of the year and once again it was incredible! We did the usual, tons of worship, prayer, and great speakers, and we also did some new stuff this year. Sooo, we wanted to show you some pics and give you some highlights from the weekend. Hope you enjoy!

We decided to film a documentary of the conference this year, so we had cameras everywhere. Here’s a shot of the boys watching a vid before sound check on the first night.

The coolest thing we did this year had to do with our “HEARTWORK” project. The theme of the conference was “Light Up the World” so we decided to give everyone a chance to take action and help light up the world. During the June conference we took a spontaneous offering on Saturday night during worship to help build an orphanage. It was an incredible sight to see kids rushing to the altar emptying their pockets, giving everything they had to help orphans on the other side of the world. During the July conference we were able to let everyone know in advance about the offering. This time we took the offering on Friday night. Again the response was OVERWHELMING.  Between the two conferences the kids gave $60,000… unbelievable. On top of the 60k, a HEARTWORK partner of ours gave another 30k. SO that’s a total of 90k. That’s 3 orphanages completely paid for in just a few weeks. Everyone just gave what they had. Maybe a little, maybe a lot, we all played our role and it was incredible to be a part of… and it’s not even close to being over… stay tuned to learn how you can get involved with HEARTWORK.

  3. Welcome

    July 15, 2009 by dband

    Hello Friends,

Welcome to the new website! We are REAL excited about it. I know that it’s been far too long since we’ve updated you on the goings on of the d_band. That being the case there is a whole bunch to update you on, and after you have been fully updated, we will from now on be updating you on the current happenings, and possibly the futuristic happenings of d_band (no guarantees on the futuristic happenings).

The last thing you heard from us quite a while ago when we released the “everyone overcome” record. You may be wondering what we’ve been doing since then(you may not care)… either way, i can tell you most assuredly we have been REAL BUSY! We’ve continued to lead worship at New Life, done some traveling, released a church record called “Counting on God”, and we recently finished our 5th desperation band record. We’re calling it “Light Up the World”.

This record is different for d_band in many ways, and we are so excited about it! Each time we do a record we really want to make sure there is a reason for doing it. We don’t ever want to record a bunch of songs and throw em on an album just for fun. Through the years we feel our efforts, ideas, and purposes have become more and more focused. And this record definitely feels like the most focused. An incredible thing has happened in our church over the last year, and we believe it’s happening in many other places, and we want to see it happen in many many more places. If you check out the “heartwork” section of the site you can learn more about what’s been going on and how to get involved. We have seen God’s hand move in so many incredible ways, and we are so excited to share those stories with you. Thanks for stopping by, talk to you soon.
